In 2022, the NEV parc in China was 13.1 million. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) expects that China's NEV sales in 2023 will reach 9 million units with a year-on-year growth of 35%. As energy supply has long been the major concern of NEV consumers, accelerating the connectivity of charging service network can promote more efficient utilization of charging facilities, driving the rapid development of NEV industry.
Zeekr is a premium electric mobility brand owned by Geely Holding Group. In April 2023, Zeekr has delivered 8,101 vehicles, up 279% year-on-year, putting cumulative deliveries over the 100,000-unit mark. ZEEKR Power has accelerated the expansion of its service network through the construction of EV charging facilities. As of May 19, ZEEKR Power has built 700 charging stations, covering 120 cities nationwide.
Mr. Yan Wubin from ZEEKR Power noted: “In cooperation with NaaS, we will optimize our online/offline charging experience, address diversified charging needs of vehicle owners by building a multi-tiered charging service system and engage Zeekr owners and NEV owners in an easy and worry-free green mobility experience with a sound energy supply network and innovative charging services.”
NaaS is one of the biggest and fastest-growing EV charging service providers in China. As of Q1 2023, NaaS has connected 55,000 charging stations and 575,000 chargers with a charging volume of 1.023 billion kWh, representing 21% of the public charging volume in China. By March 31, Fleetin, the strategic partner of NaaS, had 9 million registered users, including 5 million transaction users. Heretofore, NaaS has realized connectivity with platforms of mainstream NEV companies, including Li Auto, Voyah, HiPhi, ARCFOX, Karry, AITO; provided on-board power supply services for IoV firms such as Ohways and Lion Tech; and entered into cooperation with Internet-based and sharing platform ecosystem partners, including Tencent Intelligent Mobility, Green Intelligent Link, etc.
“As the penetration rate of new energy vehicles continues to rise, charging infrastructure and supporting services shall not fall behind. By leveraging our industry-level charging service solution as well as extensive resources and experience in the field of charging services, NaaS will help partners like ZEEKR Power to make their NEV charging services more accessible, bring down users’ charging costs, and contribute to upgrading NEV charging services jointly,” said Liang Xing, Vice President of NaaS.
