Established in 1966 and designated as a specialized agency of the United Nations in June 1985, UNIDO is a multilateral technical assistance organization. Its mission centers around the attainment of inclusive globalization, environmental protection, and sustainable development objectives through the provision of technology assistance and fostering industrial cooperation.

Mr. Zou Ciyong and his delegation toured the exhibition hall of NaaS where they learned about the evolving trends in global transportation energy. They were also introduced to NaaS's innovative business practices and successful endeavors in areas such as EV charging services, new power systems, automatic energy supply, and carbon neutrality in transportation energy.

As the first Anji-based EV charging service provider listed on NASDAQ, NaaS delivers one-stop industry solutions from station planning and site selection consulting to EPC engineering, connectivity, operation & maintenance, station management and user-side energy storage, PV, virtual power plants and autonomous charging robots. Additionally, NaaS is accelerating the implementation and innovation of technology in emerging application scenarios.

For the implementation of the integrated solution of PV-storage-charging & virtual power plant, NaaS has prioritized charging stations and strategically deployed photovoltaic power generation and energy storage systems. They also established microgrids, participated in peak load shifting within the main power grid, facilitated intelligent power dispatching, and launched virtual power plant products to bring its competence in new power system building to a new level. Furthermore, they have unveiled self-developed automatic charging robots with features like automatic vehicle locating, precise parking, robotic arm-assisted automatic plug-in charging, and autonomous repositioning for energy replenishment. These advancements enable intelligent charging for electric vehicles.

Addressing the surging demand for charging services in rural areas, NaaS and Smart Order established a joint venture company named "Smart Charging", making a foray into B&B charging service market. In June, Smart Charging launched "Charging Service for 100 B&Bs in 1 City for 1 Month" campaign, aiming to deliver charging solutions to over 100 B&Bs in the target cities. So far, the company has already completed the installation of charging stations in more than 100 rural B&Bs in Huzhou, the first stop of the campaign. This campaign was featured in a report by CCTV.

NaaS is actively promoting the green and low-carbon development of the industry, focusing on green sourcing, green charging stations, and green utilization to help reduce carbon emissions in all procedures of charging service. In 2022, NaaS achieved a carbon emission reduction of 1.8477 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 106.22%. A significant portion of NaaS's electricity procurement, amounting to 393 million kilowatt-hours, came from clean energy sources, including solar, wind, and hydro power. This clean energy accounted for 89.52% of the total. In collaboration with the strategic partner Fleetin, the company motivates users to engage in cutting carbon emissions by awarding carbon credits. By the end of 2022, the number of users with carbon accounts reached 463,000. Last November, Mr. Wang Yang, Founder and CEO of NaaS, was invited as a representative of Chinese new energy companies to attend the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27). During the conference, he shared China's practices in carbon emissions reduction in the transportation energy sector.

NaaS is a subsidiary of energy digitalization company Newlink Holdings, which has received investments and support from international green funds such as the United Nations Green Climate Fund and the Asian Development Bank Fund. In May of this year, NaaS wound up a new round of SPO, with Dr. Adrian Cheng, the third scion of the Cheng Yu-Tung Family, one of the four families of Hong Kong, and CST Group, an established HK-listed company (00985.HK), as its new strategic investors. In June, NaaS took over Sinopower Holding (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, a leading solar PV energy asset operator in Hong Kong. By entering Hong Kong's distributed solar power station and EV charging service market, NaaS is taking a crucial step in "going global".

As of March 31, 2023, NaaS' charging service network had connected 55,000 charging stations and 575,000 chargers with a charging volume of 1.023 billion kWh, representing 21% of the public charging volume in China. The unaudited financial report for 2023Q1 shows a net income of 36.2 million RMB, indicating a 150% year-on-year growth. It is estimated that the net income for the fiscal year 2023 will fall between 500 million and 600 million RMB, representing a 5-6-fold increase compared to the previous year.
